Smallwood Releases 5th IG Book: IG for Executives

March 17, 2016 (San Diego, CA) -The Institute for IG announced today that Managing Director Robert Smallwood has released a new book on information governance, Information Governance for Executives: Fundamentals & Strategies.  It is his fifth book on IG topics since 2008. The book was edited by Mark Grysiuk, who won the ARMA 2015 Britt Literary Award. Additional contributors to the book's "Strategies and Advice from the Field" section include Richard Kessler from UBS and Dennis Kessler (no relation) from the European Investment Bank. The book is available on in paperback and e-book formats and also on "This was a much-needed book to help clarify IG concepts for executives and to give them the tools they need to build the business case and launch an IG program in earnest," Smallwood said. 

Institute for IG Announces Instructor-Led Classroom Training

December 1, 2015 (San Diego, CA) -The Institute for IG announced today a new series of training programs to meet the needs for IG education. According to a recent study by the IG Initiative, training in IG is the leading factor stalling IG programs. The first classroom training sessions in IG and electronic records management (ERM) will be held Feb. 9-11, 2016 at the University of San Diego Kroc Institute. Robert Smallwood Gives Guest Lecture at San Jose State
